After four scouting trips to South America and scouring the furthest reaches of Amazonia, Phil has put together an itinerary that caters to all wilderness lovers. Amazonia is an area of 2.7m square miles, with one in ten of every living species found in its neo-tropical rain forests. The biodiversity is unparalleled with the highest plant diversity on earth along with one in five of the world's bird species. Brazil alone has over 1,837 bird species! This adventure spans the southern Amazon, and the northern and southern Pantanal, where we will hope to see playful giant river Otters, Giant Anteaters, Tapirs, Capybara, Caiman, Monkeys, Peccaries, Ocelot, Jaguar, and a whole myriad of birds including the magnificent Hyacinth Macaw.
